I first experienced the power of nutrition when my father became terminally ill. I read and researched extensively about how fueling the body with the right foods could help to keep his immune system as strong as possible so he could endure medical treatments, improve his quality of life and prolong the time he had with us. Having looked into nutrition as best I could during this time, I became passionate and eager to fully understand the science behind nutrition, so that I could apply this confidently to my life and to support others experiencing health issues.
After looking into a number of options, I chose to spend four years studying Nutritional Therapy at the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition in London, where I was awarded a distinction. I’m continually learning by attending ongoing training days and events which ensures I keep up to date with the latest scientific, evidence-based research which informs my practice. I am a member of both the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
As well as running my own private clinic (I share a space with my husband who runs a business with personal trainers in Winchester ), I have also worked as part of a team of nutritional therapists, seeing clients at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in Richmond.
